Current Writings on Presenting Complex Information Visually

It was during a slow point at work a few years ago, while we were in the process of being acquired, that I had the opportunity to get some training / attend some seminars, and I went to a presentation / lecture by Edward Tufte regarding the visual presentation of data - boy, was I hooked. This guy was/is speaking my language, and I am firm believer in his methods. In this week's Intelligent Enterprise magazine, this article talks about the block-and-tackle issues around presenting complex data with charts, etc. Stephen Few has apparently checked out Tufte's work, and makes reference to it - surprisingly, it's actually the first I've seen in the trades. Mr. Few takes the Business Intelligence (BI) vendors to task for overcomplicating most demos / samples reports, and I very much agree. I am looking forward to the rest of this series.
