I’m fairly easy to connect with – here’s a list of my preferred media, plus some hints for the most effective ways to connect.

Availability

I have a publicly visible Google calendar, with “General Availability” hours listed; typically, it’s easiest to catch me for conversation / follow up in the afternoons, between 1pm and 5pm Central time (US).

Phone

It’s with me at all times, but I’m not listing the phone number on this page – too easy for automated web crawlers to pick up the address and add it to some marketer’s list. However, it is listed on my resume / cv

And of course, you can always leave a message – I will get back you you as soon as I can!

eMail

For non-work related stuff, send emails to jpmacl at cazh1 dot com (For the uninitiated, I spell out the components of the email address so web crawlers can’t pick up the address and add it to a spam list).

Instant Messenger

During the workday, I can’t get out past the firewall with AIM, MSN, or others – but try the Meebo Chat box in the upper right on the home page of this site. If it says I’m online, it’s very probably correct; although don’t take it personally if I don’t get back to you right away, sometimes I get a a little busy.

Off hours, I’ll be on from the home office, and I’m typically connected to AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Google Talk – and Meebo, of course. Again, if it says I’m online, it’s very probably correct; although if it’s 2AM in Chicago, I doubt I’m really there.

Blackberry Instant Messenger

I’m a big fan, and I’m happy to connect via PIN or email address. I’m not “addicted to my Crackberry”, I just need to carry it around most of the time – so it’s really the best way to find me at all hours. No promises, however – I do have a life away from technology …

If you want to connect, you need to send me your PIN via email – that is one bit of information I won’t put on a web page.

How to Find your Blackberry PIN

  1. Settings > Options > Status
  2. Locate your PIN – middle of the page
  3. Send me an email (jpmacl at cazh1 dot com) with your PIN
  4. I will send you a Blackberry IM message to establish the connection.
